The Evaluation Group will be formed and their members will be displayed here once funding is available.

Three formal evaluation studies are currently being conducted:
  • One by CDC to evaluate the applicability, reliability,sensitivity, and specificity of definitions for fever, intussusception, persistent crying, generalized convulsive seizure, hypotonic-hyporesponsive episode and nodule at injection site in the U.S. Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System;
  • One by the National Public Health Institute (KTL), Finland to evaluate interrater reliability in a study comparing active and passive surveillance, and applicability of generalized convulsive seizure, and
  • One by the University Children's Hospital Basel, Switzerland to assess applicability, inter-rater reliabiliy and sensitivity of the intussusception definition in an active surveillance system.
